Nokia confirms work on a shelf Windows 8

Nokia has quickly cut over to the rumor that occurred earlier this week and reports of the possibility of the arrival of a tablet Windows 8 in the terminals of the Finnish company. One of the main designers of the company confirmed that such a product was on track.

Asked by the Finnish magazine Kauppalehti Optio, Marko Ahtisaari, senior vice president of design section of Nokia replied tersely to a question on the possibility of a tablet on Windows 8: "We are working," he announced. According to the magazine, one third of working time of Marko Ahtisaari would be spent on developing the famous tablet in Windows 8.

Marko Ahtisaari's statements do, however, no details of such a terminal, which could emerge later this year. If this statement makes sense insofar as Nokia and Microsoft now maintain close ties especially around Windows Phone 7, it will probably wait a while before a more formal announcement. Meanwhile, rumors point to a 10-inch tablet whose production was controlled Chinese company Compal Electronics. To be continued.
