The good news for those eagerly awaiting the device is that its availability was announced officially by ViewSonic, and it should be available in markets in North America by the end of the month at an affordable price of 200 $, as the Amazon Kindle Fire.

The seventh ViewPad runs a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, a 3 megapixel camera on the back cover and a VGA camera on the front, and runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3 with the ViewScene ViewSonic 3D interface.
