Windows Media Player is probably the most used audio and video on PC. It is probably not the best team players but most PCs. Here is a list of keyboard shortcuts apply to versions 11 and 12 to use it more effectively.

*Ctrl + 1: Switches the display of the player in full mode, use the 1 key on the main keyboard and not a numeric keypad.
*Ctrl + 2: Switches the display of the player in skin mode, use the 2 button on the main keyboard and not the 2 on the numeric keypad.
* Ctrl + P: Show / Hide menu.
*F11: Enable / disable full screen mode (in playback mode).
*Ctrl + P: Pause / resume.
*Ctrl + F: Go to the track, the video or the next chapter.
*Ctrl + B: Back to the track, the video or the previous chapter.
*Ctrl + Shift + F: Enable / disable the fast forward.
*Ctrl + Shift + B: Enable / Disable the prompt return (video mode only).
*Ctrl + Shift + G: Enable browsing.
*Ctrl + Shift + N: Play at normal speed.
*F7: Mute / unmute.
*F8: Decrease the volume.
*F9: Increase the volume.
