The black screen of MacBook Pro 2010 will soon be solved

Apple is aware of the bug Black Screen of Death that affects certain models of the MacBook Pro Series 2010, and they are working on it, so it might take some time before it leaves the general public.

With the launch of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, a number of MacBook Pro 15 "and 17" on the end of 2010 known fatal crashes, and they produce no signs or warning. It could very well be a message of kernel panic or just a blank screen - hence the Black Screen of Death. Apparently the problem is related to Intel Core i5 and i7 MacBook Pro, and Nvidia 330M, and the firmware or driver could be the culprit responsible for this fiasco.

Even with last update Mac OS X 10.7.2, the same problem persists - same for Windows 7 in Boot Camp. Apple will release something far more complex than a new driver update, hence the apparent delay.
